In July 2021, Shenzhen H&T Intelligent Control Co., Ltd. (hereinafter
referred to as “the company” or “H&T”) was awarded the Greenhouse
Gases Emissions Verification by The British Standards Institute (BSI). BSI is a
world's leading and authoritative institution in the area of standards
development and certification accreditation. The company has always put environmental protection and
sustainable development as an important part of its managerial ideology, and
effectively fulfilled the corresponding social responsibility. Environmental
protection, energy conservation, emission control, and sustainable development
have been carried out as important matters in the company’s operation. In
September 2020, the Chinese government proposed at the 75th session of the
United Nations General Assembly that "China will scale up its Intended
Nationally Determined Contributions by adopting more vigorous policies and
measures, aim to have CO2 emissions peak before 2030 and achieve carbon
neutrality before 2060. In this regard, the Company has also made positive responses. In March 2021, the manufacturing
facility of H&T (hereinafter referred to as "The plant") carried
out a comprehensive carbon emission audit. According to the audit, the carbon
emission of the Company in 2020 totaled 21,734 tons of carbon dioxide equivalent,
of which the direct emission totaled 1210 tons of carbon dioxide equivalent,
accounting for 6%; indirect emissions total 20524 tons of carbon dioxide
equivalent, accounting for 94%. In July 2021, BSI, as an independent third-party
institution, verified and validated the Company's disclosed carbon audit data
of 2020 and issued a verification report with
unqualified opinion, stating that the quality of carbon audit data of the plant of H&T
complies with the ISO 14064-1:2018 standard. In H&T, a large electronics R&D and manufacturing
enterprise, electricity consumption is the largest source of emission and thus
the focus of energy saving and emission reduction campaign. In this regard, the
company has taken a series of measures, such as regular maintenance or
replacement of high energy-consuming equipment such as reflow oven and tin
furnaces, to reduce the waste of electricity to achieve a more sustainable
operation. At the same time, the company actively advocates employees to join
the campaign of energy saving and emission reduction action, to strengthen
their awareness of eliminating unnecessary waste of resources, and thus achieve
continuous improvement. The company advocates more people and more enterprises to
join the action of energy saving and emission reduction, to actively contribute
to the national goal of achieving emission peak by 2030, and build a better
world together.
